Frequently asked questions

How do I join a league or team?

Your team coach or league manager will send you an invite link. Tap the link on your phone, install the Match Command app if you haven't already, and you'll be added to the team automatically.

If you've lost your invite link, contact your coach or league manager — they can regenerate a new one from the app.

How do I pay my registration fee?

Once you've joined your team, go to the "My Team" tab in the app. If a registration fee is required, you'll see a "Pay registration fee" button. Tap it to open a secure Stripe checkout. Payments are processed safely by Stripe — Match Command never stores your card information.

After payment, you'll receive a receipt by email. Your registration status will update automatically within a few minutes.

How do I request a refund for a registration fee?

Refunds are handled by your league manager, not automatically by Match Command. Contact your manager directly to request a refund — their contact information is available in the league details section of the app.

If you believe a payment was made in error or you've had no luck reaching your manager, email us at support@matchcommand.com and we'll help investigate.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email address. You'll receive an email with a link to reset your password within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

How do I turn off push notifications?

You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings. On iOS: Settings → Match Command → Notifications. On Android: Settings → Apps → Match Command → Notifications.

In a future update, you'll be able to customize notification preferences directly within the app.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data, email us at privacy@matchcommand.com with the subject "Account deletion request" and include the email address on your account. We process deletion requests within 30 days.

How do I set up payment collection for my league?

Go to the Manager tab → Payments, and tap "Set up payouts." You'll be taken through Stripe's onboarding flow to connect your bank account. Once approved by Stripe (usually within 1–2 business days), you can set registration fees on your league and start collecting payments.

All funds are paid out directly to your bank account by Stripe. Match Command does not hold your funds.

What sports does Match Command support?

Match Command supports any recreational sport. The app ships with first-class support for: Soccer, Basketball, Softball, Baseball, Volleyball, Tennis, Football, Hockey, and more. You can also set a custom sport name.

Can I manage multiple leagues under one organization?

Yes. You can create an organization that contains multiple leagues — for example, a recreational sports complex running spring soccer, summer softball, and fall volleyball all under one account. Organization-level standings and a shared manager dashboard are included.

Is there a fee to use Match Command?

Match Command is free to download and use. During our beta period, we are not charging any platform fee on registration fee payments. Standard Stripe payment processing fees apply (typically 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction in the US). We'll give plenty of notice before any platform fees are introduced.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. Payment information is processed entirely by Stripe — Match Command never sees or stores card numbers.
