Match Command ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using Match Command, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Profile information: Profile photo, sport preferences, and other information you choose to add.
- League and team data: Information about leagues, teams, rosters, schedules, and game results that you or your league manager enters.
- Payment information: When paying registration fees, your payment is processed securely by Stripe. We store only a reference to the transaction — we never store your full card number or financial credentials.
- Communications: Messages, announcements, or support requests you send through the Service.
Information collected automatically:
- Device information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage data: How you interact with the app, including features accessed and screens viewed.
- Push notification tokens: To send you game reminders and league updates (only with your permission).
- Log data: IP addresses, browser type, and error logs for debugging purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Match Command service
- Create and manage your account
- Process registration fee payments through Stripe
- Send push notifications about your games and league (you can opt out at any time in your device settings)
- Send transactional emails (payment receipts, password resets, email verification)
- Respond to your support requests and questions
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Within your league: Your name, team membership, and game schedule are visible to other members of your league and organization within the app. This is necessary for the Service to function.
- Service providers: We work with carefully selected third-party providers to help deliver the Service:
- Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy
- Resend — Transactional email delivery
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Match Command, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: If Match Command is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes, fraud prevention, or complying with legal obligations).
League data (schedules, results, standings) may be retained for historical record-keeping purposes in an anonymized or aggregate form.
6. Children's Privacy
Match Command is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal information, please contact us at privacy@matchcommand.com and we will promptly delete that information.
For leagues that include players under 18, league managers are responsible for obtaining appropriate parental consent.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information in your account settings or by contacting us.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal information.
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
- Opt-out of notifications: Disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.

8. Security
We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we become aware of a security breach that affects your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
